New BMW Z4 Roadster
Air breather.
Together with the air curtain in the front apron, the air breather positioned behind the front wheel arches significantly reduce air turbulence in the wheel arches and targeted channelling of the airflow - thus reducing drag.
Soft top.
The black soft top blends harmoniously into the dynamic lines of the vehicle. At the push of a button, it opens and closes electrically in approximately ten seconds, even while driving at speeds of up to 31mph.
Kidney grille.
The mesh design of the kidney grille adds to its dynamic appearance. The Sport / M Sport models come with a matt aluminium grille with chrome frames. The BMW M40i kidney grille is available in Cerium Grey. The High-gloss Black design (seen in the image) is optionally available on the M Sport and M40i.
Ambient lighting.
Ambient lighting creates a relaxed, cosy lighting atmosphere in the interior. There are eleven predefined light designs available in six different colours, with contour and ambient lighting on the instrument panel, door trim and centre console.
harman/kardon Surround Sound System.
The outstanding harman/kardon Surround Sound System features a 365-watt digital amplifier, seven channels and twelve speakers. Vehicle-specific, speed-dependent equalising precisely compensates for any background driving noise.
M Sport seats.
The M Sports seats with integrated headrests, deep seats and high seat and backrest bolsters offer the driver and front passenger improved support, even in fast turns. Furthermore, the seat can be adjusted even further thanks to the integrated backrest width adjustment.
INTELLIGENT DRIVING.
To match its modern design concept, the BMW Z4 Roadster features the very latest Operating System 7.0. Enabling drivers with intuitive and personalised controls, it’s bolstered by the new BMW Live Cockpit Professional, which has a stunning 10.25" touchscreen Info Display. Factor in the Intelligent Personal Assistant, which has the ability to learn, and you have one smart sports car.
M Sport brake.
The M Sport brake has four-piston fixed callipers at the front and single-piston floating callipers at the rear in blue with the M designation and features large brake discs to ensure an outstanding braking performance.
Variable sport steering.
The Variable sport steering with Servotronic creates a direct and agile steering response and ensures that less physical effort is required to turn the wheel. It reacts to the angle of the steering wheel with varying steering ratios, thus improving handling when driving more dynamically.
Steptronic Sport transmission.
The 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission offers incredibly sporty gear changes. Whether automatic or manual using gearshift paddles or gear lever – for comfortable coasting or incredibly dynamic driving.
