The BMW F 900 Cup
Halliwell Jones Motorrad are thrilled to announce that they will be competing in this year’s highly competitive BMW F900 R Cup Series and are thrilled to have the experienced Leicestershire rider Barry Burrell on board.
This marks an exciting new venture as the team gears up for their debut season in the series which last year seen significant TV coverage, and oversubscribed grids.
The BMW F 900 Cup is a support series in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship which is the pinnacle of bike sport here in the UK and is designed to be accessible plus affordable for both aspiring and experienced riders alike. In its inaugural year in 2023 the F 900 R Cup provided some thrilling bar to bar racing and platformed the BMW F 900 R to a mass audience demonstrating its nimbleness, handling and reliability.
This year will see up to 40 riders competing on identical 105hp BMW F900 R roadsters in the series taking on iconic circuits up and down the UK which will pose a variety of challenges with bike set up and rider skills.
Barry Burrell
Barry is an accomplished and seasoned racer previously competing in both the British Superbike Championship and the 2023 BMW F 900 Cup and working in partnership together with Halliwell Jones Motorrad Team is confident that there will be podium positions achieved across the season.
Barry shared his excitement about joining the team, saying:
“I am excited to be a part of the Halliwell Jones Motorrad and to ride in the BMW F 900 R Cup Series again this year. It’s an exciting opportunity to contribute to the teams first season in the series, and I am looking forward to the challenges and successes that lie ahead.”
