Gregg joined Halliwell Jones at the start of our Motorrad journey. He's been involved in the motoring industry for many years working with a number of premium brands including BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
Gregg passed his motorcycle licence in 2008 and has been in love with bikes ever since. So his current role as Brand Manager at Halliwell Jones Motorrad is his dream job.
Gregg owns a classic CBR 900RR Fireblade, his other interests include aviation and rugby league, supporting Warrington Wolves. So, you'll regularly find him at the Halliwell Jones stadium showing his support.

Louis Beetson
Role: Retail Sales Manager
Favourite Bike: R 1250 GS Adventure
Experience: 14
Louis started his career at Halliwell Jones in 2010. He joined the company as a Parts Apprentice, progressing to become a Service Advisor. He then joined the Sales Team initially as the Product Genius, and then joined the new BMW as a Sales Executive, spending six years in the role.
Louis has been riding bikes since 2013, so it was music to his ears when when we announced the opening of our Motorrad dealership, and he immediately expressed his interest to join the Team!
Louis follows a lot of racing including the Isle Of Man TT, British and World Superbikes and tries to attend as many races as possible. In addition to motorbike racing, he loves to escape to the hills of Wales and Scotland to go hiking.
When going for a ride Louis likes to make the most of it, choosing a bike that’s comfortable enough to munch away the miles! So, the GS Adventure is often his companion.

David Cartwright

David joined our Motorrad Team in July, he joins us from Apple where he spent 12 years based at their Liverpool Store looking after Business and Corporate customers.
David is a avid motorcyclist, he currently owns two of his own. It's been a busy year so far for David, he's changed career and he also got married earlier this year. We look forward to having him on our Team.

Craig Jones
Role: Motorrad Sales
Favourite Bike: It all depends on the task in hand, or my mood.
Experience: 1 1/2 years
Craig joined the Chester Motorrad Team in September. He started his career in the motoring industry around 6 years ago, but his love of all things motorcycling lead him to make the switch from cars to motorbikes 18 months ago when he joined BMW Motorrad.
Craig's love of bikes started from an early age riding scramblers with his late father. However, only passing his license was a later life achievement which in his own words was probably a good thing due to maturity. Today his passions are undoubtedly riding motorcycles, following the World Superbikes to the ninth degree and not to mention taking part in the odd track day here or there. Craig says "the closest feeling to flying without leaving the ground is riding a motorcycle on your favourite twisties".

Gareth Taylor

Gareth joined our Team in December 2022 after deciding to make the move from our Used Car Department in Warrington to Halliwell Jones Chester Motorrad.
Gareth has over 30 years experience working in the motor trade, working with premium brands including BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Harley-Davidson Motorcylces.
He's really excited about his new venture with BMW Motorrad, but he's no stranger to motorcycles. He's been riding since 1982!
He has a passion for sports bikes so it will come as no surprise that his favourite bike is the S 1000 RR, however given that he's not getting any younger he's considering a switch to one of our R models for the upright seating position.

David Edwell
Role: Motorrad Sales
Favourite Bike: R 1250 GS
Experience: 44 years
David joined Halliwell Jones at the beginning of the year, coming from Triumph in Manchester.
David bought his first bike in 1979, but didn't come back to riding until his mid-fifties. Since then he has owned a dozen bikes. His wife says he changes his bikes more often than his socks. Whilst there is some truth in this, the one constant in the stable has been a R1250GS.
David much prefers to commute on a bike rather than a car, and it's only in the depths of winter that he reverts to 4 wheels.
Days off are spent on the roads (and in the cafes) of Wales, the Peak District or The Yorkshire moors

Keith Thompson
Role: Collection & Delivery Driver/Rider
Favourite Bike: M 1000 RR
Experience: 42 years
Keith is our collection and delivery driver. Keith has a many many years experience in the Motor Industry previously working with commercial vehicles. However, following his retirement Keith decided he'd like to continue to indulge in his passion for motorbikes and joined our Team to help with the collection and delivery of customers bikes.
Keith has been motorcycling since he was 14 years old, buying his first motorbike at 16 and over the years he's owned many BMW motorcycles.
We're delighted to have him on our Team and we're sure you'll get the chance to meet him soon, as he'll be out and about in our new van.

Karl Hannigan
Role: Motorrad Driver & Valeter

We're delighted to have Karl onboard to assist the Team with the valeting, delivery and handover of new bikes to customers.
Karl has been passionate about bikes since the age of six, and previously owing two BMW bikes himself. He enjoyed a long career in the military where he managed The Flying Gunners Display Team.

Joel Taylor
Role: Service Advisor
Favourite Bike: F 850 GS Adventure
Experience: 2 years
Joel joined the motor trade in 2020, previously working with Peugeot in Wallasey and Audi in Liverpool before he joined our Motorrad Team.
Joel has recently started riding and currently has a CBT license, he's planning to push for his A2 license at the start of next year! His favourite BMW bike is the F850 GS Adventure because of it's size and the design of the bike.
Joel is a massive Motorsport nerd and has been watching it for as long as he can remember. He picked up his love for bikes through his Dad and from watching Valentino Rossi win in MotoGP!
He's also passionate about photography and always trying to capture good photos at every motorsport attend he manages to get too.

Jon Jones
Role: Aftersales Advisor
Favourite Bike: M 1000 RR
Experience: 1 1/2 years
Jon joined the Aftersales Team in May coming from a multi-franchise role and before that had 16 years in banking.
He's been riding since he was 16 with a history of several bikes to his name and loves both British and World Superbike racing.
In his spare time he can be found not on the highways but on the fairways trying (and mostly failing) to improve his golf game.

Phil Pridding
Role: Aftersales Controller

Phil joined our Aftersales Team in January.
He's a massive motorbike enthusiast! He owns three classic bikes, including a Kawasaki Z1000 A1, a Kawasaki H1F and a Yamaha FS1E! He's been motorcycling since he was just 16 years years old.
When he's not on our riding, or maintaining his bike collection Phil enjoys clay pidgeon shooting.

We're delighted to welcome Jacob to our BMW Motorrad Aftersales Team.
Jacob is passionate about bikes, he's been riding motorcycles since the age of 16. He also attempts to race them (he says hope out weighs the talent) and fan of Isle Of Man TT and sidecar racing. His other hobbies are clay shooting, hunting and horse riding.

Phil joins the Motorrad team at Halliwell Jones with a wealth of industry experience spanning 26 years, across multiple brands particularly those from Europe.
He has 4 bikes in the current collection and has been riding since the age of 4. His riding includes racing bikes in British, European and World Enduros and is currently on his 4th GS.
