WHIZZY RASCAL STEALS THE SHOW.

The Warrington Wolves mascot named 'Whizzy Rascal' caused a media sensation at the Warrington Wolves vs Castleford Tigers match on Thursday.

At the first home game of the season 'Whizzy Rascal' was in charge of delivery of the ball to the referee James Child. However, this new and innovative way to deliver the match ball went slightly wrong as Whizzy had other ideas!

Driving past the official, not once but twice as the game was momentarily delayed! The ball was eventually recovered by Wolfie and thrown to the fullback Stefan Ratchford to start the game. Meanwhile fans and at the stadium laughed at the hilarious antics and players cracked a smile as Whizzy made the most of her big moment.

If you haven't seen the footage which went viral on YouTube with over 1.9 million views, watch the clip below. And, don't worry if you missed it as Whizzy Rascal will be back delivering the match ball in her electric BMW M8 GTE at every home game this season, so watch out for more fun!

Why did the 'Whizzy Rascal' drive off with the ball?

Watch as Wolves' chief executive Karl Fitzpatrick explains on BBC Breakfast News what happened.
